Does the yacht configurator run in the browser or does it need installing?
In the browser. The Kumbra Yachts configurator opens in the browser with nothing to install and responds in real time. The virtual reality version of the same configurator is used with the headset on.
Can the boat configurator be embedded in our website?
Yes. It is a web application, like the Kumbra Yachts Studio: linked from the brand's website or embedded in it, with nothing for the customer to install. The virtual reality version travels to a boat show stand, as we did at the Valencia Boat Show and at Navalia.
What do you need to start?
The boat's 3D or CAD models, the list of options and the compatibility rules between them. If the models are not ready for the web, we convert and optimize them ourselves.
How are the rules between options handled?
We define them with the customer and the configurator enforces them on its own: the user never sees a combination that cannot be built, as in the Kumbra Yachts configurator.
What does the cost of a 3D yacht configurator depend on?
On the number of boat models and options, the rules between them, whether a virtual reality version is needed and the integrations with other systems (ERP, CRM, product website). With that information we prepare a phased proposal.
Does it work for products other than boats?
Yes. Yachts are where we have the most experience, but the configurator is the same for any product with options and compatibility rules between them: the models and the rules change, not the engine.
