The challenge
A customizable yacht was sold from a catalog: the customer had to imagine how each combination would look, and the sales team had to check by hand which options were compatible with each other. Kumbra Yachts needed customers to see their configuration and the rules between options to apply themselves.
The solution
Maurer Labs built the Kumbra Yachts Studio, a 3D configurator that opens in the browser with nothing to install: the user picks the model and walks through the options while the yacht updates on screen in real time. Compatibility rules between options are enforced automatically, so any configuration you can see is a configuration that can be built.
