The challenge
On a screen, the configurator shows the yacht from the outside and at monitor size. The decisions that weigh most when buying a boat, the sense of space, headroom, the distance between decks or how a material looks up close, are only made well on board, and you cannot board a yacht that does not exist yet.
The solution
Maurer Labs took the same yacht 3D configurator it built for Kumbra Yachts into virtual reality: the same models, the same options and the same compatibility rules. With the headset on, the user boards, walks the yacht at 1:1 scale and switches hulls, finishes and equipment while seeing the result all around them, not in a window.
